This Journey combines some pavement and some off-road riding allowing us to truly experience beautiful mountain cities along countryside of Romania.


Our route takes us over the Fagaras Mountains and around Bolboci Lake on 

gravel roads and through  rich forest in the heart of Transylvania.

DAY 1 - Bucharest 
Welcome to Bucharest! 

After everyone has arrived at the airport in Bucharest City, you will be transferred to the hotel accommodation. You will enjoy a short tour in the city and a welcome dinner in a traditional restaurant. 


DAY 2 - 250 km (40 km gravel) 
Well, is our first day riding so we left Bucharest and we are going to Brasov, a very beautiful mountain city. When we arrive in the mountain area we ride around the Bolboci Lake in gravel roads through the forest. Lunch time is by the lake and then we are going on Transbucegi (a brand new asphalt road) to a very beautiful Castle in Sinaia.

Accommodation for tonight is in a medieval building in old city of Brasov.


DAY 3 - 153 km (20 km gravel) 
After breakfast, visit to Dracula's Castel 30km away from Brasov. After the lunch we are crossing the mountains and have some fun in gravel roads in the way to Vidraru Lake.

Accommodation by the lake. Now you can recharge your battery at a spa.

The motorcycle of your choice. We've a wide selection to choose from, something to suit every taste and experience level.

Expert guide who will share a wealth of knowledge about the flora, fauna, geology and history of each area.

7 nights of accommodation during the tour in comfortable, high quality resorts and hotels.

All breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included in the tour.

DAY 4 - 164 km (30 km gravel) 
Today we are riding on the famous Transfagarasan. Then we go further north to Sighisoara – a place where you can find the only one inhabited fortress in Europe. Also, some soft off road during the day, about 30 km with a beautiful view over the Fagaras Mountains. After such a beautiful day ride you deserve a spa at you 4**** accommodation. 

DAY 5 
This could be your rest day. For today you can choose between walking around the city, visiting Sighisoara Citadel or have a great off-road day in the heart of Transylvania. We have many possibilities for places to ride on, because this city is surrounded by mountains and hills.

DAY 6 - 264 km (41 km gravel) 

In the 6th day riding we have the longest day with two off road sections. This is the day when we reach the highest mountain pass in Romania - Transalpina Road. After we reach the peak we are going on a spectacular road at about 2000 m high (off road section) place where we can watch Vidra Lake. 

DAY 7 - 268 km (20 km gravel) 
Today is the last day of the tour and we still have to ride on gravel roads in our way back to Bucharest. We stop for a short visit at the famous Monastery of Curtea de Arges and then in Pitesti for lunch. There are 100 kilometers left until we reach Bucharest. We will take a road where we skip the highway and take back country roads. 

DAY 8 - Bucharest 
Today is time to enjoy Bucharest city walking around, taking a city tour by double decker bus or visit a few tourist places. We recommend for you a visit to the Palace of the Parliament, the second largest building in the world, or a visit to Village Musem to see old traditional houses from all over the country, or a tour in Herastrau Park and Ioanid Park - a unique small park in Romania or Cismigiu Garden.

80% of this ride is on pavement; some sections of pavement can be potholed and narrow. 

20% of this ride will be on dirt/gravel. Most is hard packed, although there are sections that can have loose gravel and can be rutted. 

Some off-road experience is essential for this tour.

On the more difficult sections pillions can travel in the support vehicle, space permitting.

Romania has a temperate-continental climate with moderate features which is characteristic for Central Europe. with hot summers, long, cold winters and very distinct seasons. Abundant snowfalls may occur throughout the country from December to mid-March, especially if you are in the mountainous areas of Romania.


The annual average temperature depends on latitude and ranges from 8°C in the North and 11°C in the South, with temperatures of 2.6°C in the mountains and 12°C in the plains. In general, the warmest areas are in the southern districts of Romania. Daytime temperatures vary from 0-5°C in the winter and 25-30°C in summer months. In the southern areas it can be warmer, in the northern and eastern mountainous districts of Transsilvania it can be cooler with moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights in the summer and temperatures far below zero in the winter.

  • All riders must have a valid motorcycle license and at least two years riding experience. 

  • It is a requirement that all clients have appropriate insurance for this type of expedition. 

  • An experienced and qualified medic will be joining us and we always carry an extensive medical kit in case of injury’s, large or small.

  • We will be utilizing a support vehicles to carry all of our luggage, equipment and other gear as well as to accommodate pillion passengers who may wish to have some time off the bike.  This means that the bikes will be traveling light without the weight of any luggage to be worried about.
