Tour End: Cusco, Peru

Climate

We will experience a wide variety of weather conditions on this ride. In Brazil we can expect warm to hot weather with the chance of some rain, as the regions we travel have a semi tropical climate. We will have some days riding in the mountains (Penedo and Serro do Rio Rastro) where temperatures may be slightly cooler. Crossing the plains of northern Argentina we ride high into the Andes and being at high altitude (above 4,000 metres / 13,200 feet) the weather will be very cool although dry. In Bolivia and Peru we ride the Altiplano (high plains) and the Andes Mountains where we will experience cool weather, with clear sunny days. It’s the end of the rainy season so we should not expect rain; it is the mountains so keep in mind that rain is always possible and there can be very cool temperatures. After Arequipa we drop down to sea level and the temperatures are much warmer for the final leg of the tour.
